Let me preface this by saying that if I hadn’t been provided with a copy of this book by the author for review, I would have invested my own money to buy this one. In a marketplace that is chock-full of ‘how-to’ for authors and wanna-be authors, this one delivers the goods. At the outset, the reader will be tempted to read the first few pages and think, “Meh”. I believe the book is designed this way. If you are serious about writing, you will proceed.
Shaun Hibbs provides the reader/writer with three ‘secrets’ that will help you attain better sales on Amazon. Notice, I didn’t say ‘guarantee’ better sales; neither does author Hibbs. If the reader/writer is willing to put in the time and effort required to follow the steps outlined, they are on the right track for increased visibility and sales of their book. Assuming, of course, that their book is the best it can be.
As this reviewer is also an author in search of better sales (who isn’t?), I sat down and followed many of the links provided by Hibbs. Hopefully, I will see better sales results. The links are easy to follow. Topics like Finding Your Audience, Learning about the Amazon Ratings system, discovering your Competition, and more are packed into this relatively short book. While the content is geared mostly toward self-published or indie authors, all authors can learn something from this book.
Don’t let the brevity of the book fool you into thinking you can learn it all in one evening or afternoon. Give each chapter your attention and you’re sure to learn something new. And if you’re lucky enough to make it to the end of the book, I believe you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
