I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all of you who offered prayers and words of encouragement during the past two months. For those who do not know, I sustained a mini-stroke or TIA in late July. While I was recovering I learned that I had developed atrial fibrilation (A-Fib). That explains the heart palpitations and other strange symptoms I was having. I am now being treated for that. During my hospital stay a growth was discovered. Doctors believed it was in my bladder. However, further testing has placed this miniscule menace in an area between my bladder and my kidney. This will necessitate another hospital procedure as I will be under anesthesia. So, as you can see, I have been left little time to pursue my writing.
In fact, since the mini-stroke occurred while I was reading I had developed a fear of picking up a book and reading again. I knew, logically, that this was just a mental phase and I’m happy to report that I have overcome that fear and am back to reading once more. Additionally, I have set aside work on TOMORROW’S DREAM, a story I hold dear to my heart.
In the interim, and at the suggestion of my dear friend Helen, I have undertaken to write something light-hearted. I’ve begun work on what I believe will be a novella called LOVE IN BLOOM. For those of you who read Regency Romances you’ll recognize many of the scenarios, however, this novella will be slightly different in that my heroines (there are four of them) are not the perfect young woman you might expect them to be. Each is slightly unique in her own way.
Once again, I thank each and every one of you for your kind prayers (they do help) and your words of encouragement. Please keep them coming. I’m not totally cleared by my doctors yet but hope to be by the end of the year.
Looking forward to resuming my book reviews by winter and will keep working, albeit slowly, on the novella. Thank you for your support.
All my love and best wishes,
